Students of Girne American University (GAU) Tourism and Accommodation School began their culture tours by visiting Yeşilırmak and Mavi Köşk regions in the framework of the Tourism Week, which is celebrated in April 15-22 every year.
The students of GAU Tourism and Accommodation School visited the Yeşilırmak village, which is a touristic region that is in Northwest of TRNC and which is famous for its natural beauty and coasts that meet blue and green. Visiting beaches, restaurants and picnic areas and having fun in Yeşilırmak coastal regions, GAU students gained motivation and spirits before exams. Visiting the Mavi Köşk, which is in Çamlıbel village and which attracts a lot of attention tourists, as well, the students learn the beauties of the island in place with culture tours.
Chairperson of GAU Tourism, Hotel Administration and Accommodation Department Nafiya Güden made a statement and said “We hold similar events to raise the tourism perception of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and train students by seeing the natural and historical structure in place. We began teaching tourism by beginning from the beauties in Cyprus to our students that are our first customer. We will continue the applied tourism lessons with cultural visits.”
