The students of the American College and Future American College that gives education within the GAU Schools Group with ceremonies held, celebrated the 31^st year of the Republic that was established on 15th November 1983 with enthusiasm.

In the ceremony that took place at the American College Campus in Kyrenia, after the one minute of silence and the National Anthem was read, it was followed by the school choir consisting of Primary school 4th grade students that had prepared the GAU Anthem, Al Yemeni Mor Yemeni and Feslikan songs, this was followed by the ”Cumhuriyet’in Anlattıkları (The tales of the Republic)” poem read by  4^th grade Prep School students Muhterem Yamanşef, Teoman Stephan,Kyle Gale,Eray Erdenay, Münür Köle. The primary school 1B class students Sezen,Muhammed,Ege, Efe,Sarp,Lavin, Gülten,Defne,Alara read the poem “Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti (TRNC)”.  The Pre-School students Sahra Merşa, Ela Bittacı, Defne Üzülmez, Alisa Çetin, Seval Canlar, Tanem Topçuoğlu read the poem “15 Kasım (15^th November)”. A Turkish and English speech was given by the 11 A Level student Salih Yamanşef and 11 ART class student Elif Töre stating the meaning and importance of the day.

In the ceremony that took place at the American Future College, the 8^th grade student Zelal Yakut made a speech stating the meaning and importance of the day, the 2^nd year students read the poem “15 Kasım (15^th November)”, the 3^rd year students read the poem “Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti  (TRNC)”, the 4^th year students read the poem ”Cumhuriyet’in Anlattıkları (The Tales of the Republic)”, the 5^th year students read the poem “Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti (TRNC)”. The school choir celebrated the 31^st year of the TRNC by singing Cyprus songs.
