GAU has presented the certificates for the students who have successfully completed the summer internships and summer school in GAU Cyprus-Girne Campus with a ceremony in relevance to the academic protocol signed amongst GAU and one of the leading universities of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek Academy of Finance and Economy (BAFE) that facilitated the student exchange program.

The Kyrgyz students who have successfully completed their trainings under GAU Business and Tourism Hotel Management Hospitality departments during the summer semester were presented with certificates by GAU CEO and Vice-Chancellor of  Board of Administrators Assist. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi. GAU General Secretary and lecturer Dr. Sualp Davut has also attended to the ceremony.

“GAU has formed a bridge of Peace, Science and Culture between TRNC and the World”

GAU CEO and Vice-Chancellor of Board of Administrators Assist. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi who made a brief speech prior to the certificate ceremony has emphasized that the academic protocol between GAU and BAFE had been signed in 2004 and that this signing has benefited both countries and universities in this respect.

Vehbi also underlined that the Founding Rector and Chancellor of the Board Serhat Akpınar have announced 2014-2015 academic year as the year of Peace and Health and thereof a bridge of Peace, Science and Culture has been formed between Kyrgyzstan and TRNC. Moreover GAU, with over 120 other similar academic protocols signed, contributed to the promotion of the higher education system and the universities besides TRNC and its culture.

We Return as Honorary Peace and Culture Envoys”

Kyrgyz students who have answered the questions of GAUTV Actual News program at the end of the certificate ceremony have underlined that they are very happy to have known TRNC better and underwent an education in GAU. Kyrgyz students have emphasized that they will return back to their countries as honorary peace and culture envoys with a global educational vision and as a citizen of the world. Students have also underlined that GAU’s quality of education and 30 years of scientific experience are significant contributors for the education and career approaches of the university.
