Girne American University (GAU) Global Science Family, has united for the Iftar meal at Le Chateau Lambousa Hotel.

GAU Board of Trustees President - Memduh Erdal and his wife Sevim Erdal, GAU Founding Rector and Chancellor of the Board of Administrators - Serhat Akpınar, GAU CEO and Vice-Chancellor of the Board - Assist. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi, Vice-Chancellors of the Board - Cemile Esenyel and Olgun Üstün, GAU Rector - Prof. Dr. Yıldırım Öner, Vice-Rectors and GAU Global Science Family united for the Iftar meal accompanied by the Turkish Whirling Dervish group (Semazen) who performed hymns and performances.

GAU CEO and Vice Chancellor of the Board of Administrators - Assist. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi who stressed the importance of the Ramadan Holiday in his speech during the Iftar meal, stated "Dear colleagues, we are together on a very special night as the Girne American University Global Science Family. Ramadan in the Islamic world, is the icon of friendship, peace and unity and represents the process of ending the fights, longing and stuffiness.  We are here this evening at the invitation of our Founding Rector and Chancellor of the Board of Administrators - Mr. Serhat Akpınar. Thank you for being a part of Girne American University Global Science Family and thank you for being with us on such a special night."

Vehbi, who highlighted the importance of the blessed Night of Qadr for the Islamic Religion and Culture, ended his speech by celebrating the Ramadan Holiday of GAU Global Science Family.

The Iftar meal which united GAU Global Science Family at Le Chateau Lambousa Hotel, ended after the performances and hymns of the Whirling Dervishes.
