Girne American University's Mens Table Tennis Team achieved a great success in the 2nd League of a Table Tennis Contest that was recently held in Antalya, Turkey.

Girne American University's team competed against the teams of Alarko Spor, Belediye Spor, İBB Spor, Telekom Spor, Ostim Spor, KON-TEK, Lin. Un MTİ and Bahçelievler İzcilik GSK. GAU's Mens Table Tennis Team came in 2nd positoin overall, having won 12 of 13 games. A really fantastic achievement

In an interview Mr. Turkay Akpinar, Director of Girne American University's Department of Sports, Culture & Health, stated that GAU's sports teams have been actively participating and were proud to represent the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus in National and International Tournaments. The aim for the GAU Table Tennis Team in 2012 is to become Champions of the 1st League Table Tennis Contest in Turkey.
