Students of the Girne American University Education Faculty Pre-school Teacher Department are performing an awareness action on various topics regarding the Kindergartens in Kyrenia as part of the Social Services Applications course.

GAU Pre-school Teacher Lecturer of the Education Faculty - Aytaç Dilek stated in his speech that they carried out an awareness action for the children in kindergartens located in the Kyrenia region and they performed a Red Crescent Society themed work first in Ozanköy at the Osman Türkay Kindergarten. Dilek stated that the Red Crescent officials taught to the children issues such as natural disasters, fires, earthquakes, protecting human lives and health and stated that projects were executed within the course at Lapta Nursing Home, Kemal Saracoglu Children with Leukemia and Cancer Control Foundation, Cancer Society, SOS Childrens Village and Kyrenia Animal shelter this year.

Dilek stated in his speech that they are planning to organize a fundraising event on 26th April in Kyrenia Peace Park to benefit Kemal Saracoglu Children with Leukemia and Cancer Control Foundation, Cancer Society and Kyrenia Animal Shelter and stressed that they will also maintain the renewal works of the kindergartens in Kyrenia this year.
