Girne American University (GAU), on the eve of its 30th Academic Year, have held a co-design studio between Mersin University and Faculties of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts.

It is stated that in the first phase of the cooperation, students of the GAU Architecture Department carried out a four-day visit to Mersin University in the presence of their Design Studio instructor – Hassina Nafa and various presentations, field trips and workshops were performed during this four-day visit which was hosted by the Dean of Mersin University Architecture Faculty – Prof. Dr. Cana Bilsel and the Head of the Architecture Department – Assoc. Dr. Meltem Uçar.

According to information from the GAU Architecture, Design and Fine Arts, the third grade students of the Architecture Department of both universities will conduct design courses of the co-design studio project throughout the semester, and will also come together at various stages and have an opportunity to share their knowledge and experience within the framework of the protocol cooperation between Mersin University And GAU.

It has been stated that the information of common juries will take place with online and digital methods and also Architecture and Design Studio Executives and third grade students of Mersin University will visit GAU for the final assessment at the end of the period.
