GAU Pilotage – Admissions in September

With the approval of Higher Education Evaluation Council (YÖDAK)

GAU brings a new movement at Global Level

Girne American University, on the eve of its 30th Academic Year; will commence admissions for students in September 2014 with the approval of YODAK (Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation, and Coordination Council) and bring a new movement in pilotage training at a global level.

In the relevant statement from GAU it is expressed that, in a globalized world, the interest in aviation has increased with the development of the aviation industry and the increased need for pilots. It is expressed that they aim to train future pilots with 4 new generation single engine cockpit aircraft, 1 new generation double engine glass cockpit aircraft and 2 single and multi-engine advanced FNPT aircraft simulators and for the first time a university which was established in the TRNC will be entering a formation of this size in world standards.

It is stated that with the approval of YÖDAK, admissions for students will commence in September 2014 and the education will be given in 2 parts; the theoretical part at GAU Cyprus and the practical part at the flight school in Istanbul, and both will be provided with the latest technology products and simulators in both places.

Also, in the statement, it was expressed that the necessary studies are being processed for the issues such as EASA approved overseas education, solution partners with training plane, the simulator, training materials and some studies have come to an end such as the academic and modular pilotage training (PPL, CPL, ATPL, MCC) at international standards, and it was underlined that with the slogan of “Three Continents, One University” and “The Master of the Skies”, GAU is ready to train the future aviation professionals by leading the way in the Republic of Turkey.
