University Now Shapes The Higher Education System of Central Asia

As part of its vision to become an ‘Intercontinental World University’, Girne American University (GAU) has opened campuses in Canterbury, Britain and Singapore and has now puts its signature on important academic cooperations which will help shape higher education in central Asia.

GAU signed an academic cooperation with the International Academy of Business in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The academic cooperation agreement which includes student and lecturers exchange programmes was signed by Vice President of GAU’s Administrative Board, Asım Vehbi, on behalf of GAU, and Nurzhamal Duisengulova on behalf of the International Academy of Business.

Vehbi said that in order to provide the highest level of education; academic programmes, teaching techniques, quality of campus and academic staff and being ‘international’ is of great importance.

With its diploma, which is recognised all around the world, English language education throughout their education process, lecturers from more than seventy countries; GAU offers every opportunity to its students. Vehbi also underlined that GAU students have the chance to go to GAU’s other campuses and the university opens the doors of global education with the academic cooperation agreements signed with leading universities. Thanks to the academic cooperation agreements signed with the International Academy of Business, after completing two years, Kazakhstani students will have the opportunity to go to GAU campuses and GAU students will have the opportunity to go to the International Academy of Business in Kazakhstan.
