GAU Architecture - Friday Seminars commence

The GAU Faculty of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts have commenced the 2013/2014 Friday Seminars with a presentation entitled “Unusual Suspects: Students in Charge for Heritage”.

GAU Faculty of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts aims to establish a platform for inter-sharing of experiences of various artists, architects and researchers through focusing on the third year of traditional Friday Seminars covering application researches and practical experiences.

The 2013/2014 Friday Seminars will consist of courses, workshops, researches, sketches, measured drawings, designs and restoration projects that have been previously conducted by the students under cultural heritage work within the 2012/2013 academic years.

The seminar, which underlined the events of the International Historical Heritage Studies Research Centre, was presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Senem Doyduk and undergraduate and master students of GAU Department of Architecture.

The 2013/2014 GAU Architecture, Design and Fine Arts Faculty Friday Seminars will undertake the topic of Research in Practice between 15:00-17:00 pm and following are the programs for the months of November and December:

Seminar 1 - Friday, 1st November 2013 - “Unusual Suspects: Students in Charge for Heritage, Assist. Prof. Dr. Senem Doyduk.

Seminar 2 - Friday, 8th November 2013 - "Reflection in Practice", Assist. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Adil.


Seminar 3 - Friday, 22nd November 2013 - "Owning Your Learning: The Motivated Student Learning”, Teaching Staff Kim Bennett.


Seminar 4 - Friday, 29th November 2013 - "His Practice”, Prof. Dr. Lutz Presser.


Seminar 5 - Friday, 6th December 2013 “Oscar Niemeyer and Practices of Modern Architecture”, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hossein Sadri.
