2013-2014 Academic Years have been announced as  “Year of Environment and Nature” by the Senate following the Mobilization due to Fire Disaster in Yeşilırmak.

The opening course for the 2013-2014 Academic Years will be Lectured by the Minister of Environement and Natural Resources Hamit Bakırcı.

The opening course for the 2013-2014 Academic Years will be Lectured by the Minister of Environement and Natural Resources Hamit Bakırcı while other state authorities will participate to the pening ceremony of the 29th Academic Years on 8 October Tuesday at 10:00 am in GAU Girne Campus Spectrum Internaitonal Congress Hall.

The Opening Ceremony will be attended by GAU Chair of Board of Trustees Memduh Erdal, Founding Rector and Chancellor of Board of Administrators Serhat Akpınar, GAU CEO and Vice-Chancellor of Board of Administrators Assist. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi, Vice-Chancellors Olgun Üstün and Cemile Esenyel, Rector Prof. Dr. Yıldırım Öner and other Academic and Administrative staff.

The Nature Walk will also integrate various activities in a carnival theme. Following the cortege, The National Anthem and Moment of Silence will be realized before the speech of GAU RectorProf. Dr. Yıldırım Öner.
