The statements counter to the protest letter by Economy and Energy Ministry Director of  Registrar Office Emin Bilgen was stressed as vexing thus allowing GAU Rector Prof. Dr. Yıldırım Öner to hold a statement in respect.

Director of Registrar Office Emin Bilgen’s statement that indicated the protest of GAU towards the unjust competition which was initiated by NEU was regarded as no legal based argument and this approach of the competent authority is considered as a concern when evaluated on grounds of Cyprus Turkish community.

Öner also stressed that the fact that University of Kyrenia is bounded and related to Near East University and that this reality is been concealed must be questioned in regards to public conciousness. Ministry’s stated pre-examples of similar cases are only effort emerged to institutionalize an unjust competition has no sound bases.  The effort of Companies Registrar to prove that University of Kyrenia has no real connection with NEU is rather hilarious and must be questioned by the public concious. The fact that both mentioned institutions have the exact same establishment date must be further explained by the Companies Registrar.

GAU had previously rejected the use of Internaitonal University of America but by time it has been used and Ministry as well as the Companies Registrar is prefering to denefend specific sides through thier statements.

Öner finally stressed that GAU will continue its struggle through its democratic rights and also asked Ministry and Companies Registrar to have determined will upon the issue.
