GAU Dance Academy has been granted the best choreography award beside of ranking as the champion of Turkey for the fifth of the Championship of Inter-Universities Dance Marathon held by the Sports Federation of Universities of Turkey.

13 universities have participated for the fifth of the annual contests held amongst the Performing Arts Dance departments of the leading universities of TRNC and Turkey which had been realized by the Sports Federation of Universities of Turkey in İstanbul.

The winner amongst the 13 participating universities was GAU Dance Academy and also been granted the “Best Choreography” thus earning two first places for TRNC.

GAU Dance Academy has added one more to its national and international successes after leaving behind all leading universities of Turkey by winning the “Best Choreography” and been granted the first place in Turkey with the “İvan” named dance performance prepared by GAU Dance Academy Show Coordinator and Trainer Galip Emre.

The winners of the first place and the championship of Turkey amongst 13 universities were the GAU Dance Academy final year students; Batu Konnolu, Çağın Ulutaş, Erdem Birkan, Hazal Sokullu, Refiya Öz, Sercenk Yücel, Toya Akpınar and Yuliya Hermaniuk.
