2012-2013 Architecture Seminars that had put into practice by Girne American University, Faculty of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts, continued with a seminar about Computer and Architecture by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şebnem Yalınay Çinici,  that joined as a speaker.

The guest of this week at the seminars, that have been coordinating for three years with the main theme about “Architecture Facing World Problems’’, by Faculty of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts, at Girne American University (GAU) Cyprus Girne Campus Millennium Complex Senate Congress Hall, was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şebnem Yalınay Çinici.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çinici had mentioned the history of Computer Technology and the development of technology in the world of architecture and had examined the role of computer technologies as educational materials on architecture.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çinici had completed her education at METU, the Department of Architecture and she performed some postdoctoral studies at Colombia University. At the seminar, she had cited the technics that she improved in 1:1 ratio education methodology on architecture as an example, which had intense interest by the lecturers and students. The plaquet of appreciation was presented to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şebnem Yalınay Çinici for the contributions of improvement of GAU students, by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts, Assist. Professor Dr.Hossein Sadri and the chair of Faculty Student Club Fatima Mohsen.

Seminars to be continued with the seminars of “Architecture: Context, Culture and Idea’’The Architecture Seminars have been arranged for first three academic years on every Friday by the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts of GAU with the main theme about “Architecture Facing World Problems.’’ The Architecture Seminars to be continued with a seminar about “Architecture: Context, Culture and Idea’’ on March29, Friday at 14:00 and the Dean of Faculty of Architecture, Prof. Dr. Murat Soygeniş will join as a speaker. Seminar will be held as open to public and will be a live broadcast by GAU TV.
