The choreography of Turkey is been prepared by GAU Turkey Dance Academy, for the “One Billion Rising” event, which will be held simultaneously in the world in order to protest the violence and sexual abuse against woman. The event to be held in North Cyprus Girne will be performed in GAU Girne Campus.

The event, which will be held to pull attention to problems of women and build social responsibility beside of emphasizing the women rights, the Girne leg will be held in Girne Campus Millennium Complex “Freedom and Equality” Square with the contributions of GAU Performing Arts Higher school Dance department.

The event which is announced as the “Join Dance for Our Common Future” by GAU carry the slogans of “No to Violence Against Woman”  and “No Women Weak But Brains” that emphasizes the problems of women discrimination and  the sexual abuse by 1 billion women dancing simultaneously in the world.

The movement to hold 1 billion women to dance simultaneously worldwide will be held at Beşiktaş Square on 14th of February for protesting violence, assault, sexual racism against woman through dancing and GAU Dance Academy will provide free of charge dancing training at 13:00 pm in Girne Campus for those intent to participate. Lefkoşa City Center is expected to embrace many to the events to be held in various points.
