GAU AS THE ONE AND ONLY TO PROVIDE EDUCATION IN THE INTERNATIONAL SEAS HAS ANNOUNCED THE QUOTAS FOR THE HIGHERSCHOOL OF MARINE FOR SPRING SEMESTER FOR THE TRNC CITIZEN STUDENT CANDIDATES

GAU announced that will accept admissions for the departments of Marine and Transportation Higherschool, Transportation and Logistics and Deck (Engineering of Marine Freight Management) in the spring semester for TRNC citizen students.

The statement further explained that GAU is one and only amongst the universities of TRNC to provide practical education on Marine Sciences  in the international waters of Mediterranean with the education vessels beside the progressing intercontinental internships in the international waters and seas and of the students whom undertaking education in undergraduate programs.

The limited number of quotas for the Higherschool of Marine and Transportation which provides education in “Faculty Member Exchange”, Projects of Support and Program Development” and “To provide support in granting an Officer License in the content of International Marine Organization IMO STCW rules” with the academic protocol signed between Piri Reis University and GAU is now available for the admissions of TRNC citizen or third world country students.

GAU is the Only University to Provide Practical Education in International Waters Apart from Internships

The Principal of Marine and Transportation Higherschool Captain Efdal Safel have stated that the departments which educates under higherschools provide student candidates occupations with rising strategic in the global world. Also Safel has stated that the students will be able to take education in the Marine academy with no extra charge for the GAU campuses situated in England, Singapore, USA and İstanbul.

Safel stating that the students of GAU Marine Sciences are successfully progressing in their internship and also stated that GAU is one and only amongst the universities of TRNC to provide practical education on Marine Sciences in the international waters of Mediterranean with the education vessels and that GAU diploma is recognized and accredited by the Undersecretary of Marine of Turkish Republic thus been internationally accredited.

Safel also underlined that the Transportation and Logistics and Deck departments are been supported by the Turkish Republic Transportation, Marine and Communications Ministry and Seas and Inland waters Coordination Directorate. It has also been emphasized that marine education will be advance to maximum quality with the cooperation protocol held between Piri Reis University- which established by the Chamber of IMEAK Marine Commerce (DTO) and Turkish Marine Education Fund (TÜDEV) and which supports İstanbul Technical University and 9 Eylül University, KTÜ Marine Faculty- and GAU.
