GirneAmerican Universityhas hosted one of the important opinion leaders of the Turkish football Rıdvan Dilmen within the framework of 28th year Academic events held by the Communication Faculty.


The famous commentator of the Program screened in NTV and the legendary footballer of the Turkish football and Fenerbahçe Rıdvan Dilmen, has been awarded for two different fields by Girne American University. He was awarded the “The Best Sport Commentator of the Year and the “Best Sport Program of the Year” award for his Yüzde 100 (100 Percent) program screened in NTV.


The Seminar which will be moderatored by the Dean of Communication Faculty Assoc. Prof. Dr. Neriman Saygılı will be open to public.                                                          


Rıdvan Dilmen will be awarded the “The Best Sport Commentator of the Year” by the students of the Communication Faculty after the survey themed as the bests of the year held by the Girne American University and also Dilmen will be awarded the “Best Sport Program of the Year” award for his Yüzde 100 (100 Percent) program screened in NTV.

The seminar of “ Past, Present and Future of the Turkish Football” which was moderatored by the Dean of Communication Faculty Assoc. Prof. Dr. Neriman Saygılı had been explained further by Dilmen in Girne American University Cyprus Girne Campus International Congress Center Spectrum Hall.


The Championship chance of Galatasaray is 40 percent
Explaining further about his football life and sports commentating, Dilmen has also emphasized that he had been included in football since childhood and was a supporter of Fenerbahçe since. He then stated that he had to leave football due to his re-occuring  injury and he never had in mind to continue his carrer as a sports commentator during those periods.


Also reporting that the chance of championship for Galatasaray is 40 percent whereas for Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş is 30 percent, Dilmen has also emphasized that Turkish football will be much more successful in the structure where the Federation administers the clubs by pulling attention that a structure where federation administers the Turkish football and its clubs.

At least Semi-Final for Fenerbahçe in EuropeDilmen emphasizing that Aykut Kocaman is a well-educated and improved himself as a coach, and also stated that he will be placed within the top coaches of Europe in coming years and Fenerbahçe will at least experience semi-final in the European league.  Dilmen also added on that he is aiming to be an educator of football coach development rather than been a coach, and yet stated that he is ready to work for the lifting of the embargos and the development of the Cyprus Turkish football finally ending with his appreciations to Girne American University for the seminar which covered important topics.


The award of “Yüzde 100 Futbol” (100 Percent Football) program which was awarded the “Best Sport Program of the Year” by the votes of the students of the Communication Faculty was presented to Rıdvan Dilmen on behalf of NTV by GAU CEO and Vice-Chancellor of the Board of the Administrators Dr. Asım Vehbi while he was also presented an award for “The Best Sport Commentator of the Year” by club president Buğra Asaf Tengiz on behalf of the students of the Communication Faculty of GAU and Student Club of Young Fenerbahçe Supporters after the survey held upon “The Bests of 2012”.


GAU Chancellor of the Board of Administrators Olgun Üstün has presented the GAU global science family honour badge to Rıdvan Dilmen. Dilmen have made significant statements and also answered the questions forwarded by the students.
