Post-Conflict Urban Architecture: The Case Of Mostar Will Be Explained In

‘’Architecture Friday Seminars’’ which has been coordinated by Girne American University Faculty of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts and with the main topic of Architecture Facing World Problems, is continuing with the Urban Reconstruction In Post-Conflict Cities: The Case of Mostar themed seminar.


This week, Dr. Francesco Mazzucchelli, lecturer of the University of Bologna andacts as a researcher at Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences,will join as a spokesperson at the seminar that will be held in Girne American University Cyprus- Girne Campus Millenium Complex Senate Congress Centre as open to public every Friday at 10:00 o’clock.


‘’ Effects of Century of Urban Site Conflicts on Urban People will be discussed’’
The seminar which will examine the modern centuries, increasing of conflict environment at urban areas, besides the reconstruction methods of urban sites, the given methods of urbanite’s social forms, cultures and most importantly with the relation of remembrance and memories, with the human rights oriented spatial anthropology, via the view of architecture, will be broadcasted live from GAU TV.


Vice Dean of Girne American University Faculty of Architecture Design and Fine Arts Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hossein Sadri have stated that for  leading global architecture discussions and ascending student development to the highest level, the seminars is been held under the title of Architecture  Friday throughout the academic year for every week at GAU and added on by emphasizing that beside of GAU students, TRNC non-governmental organizations, occupational institutions and establishments will develop important outcomes in national architecture perception by meeting the opinion leaders and scientists of the world architecture education and new perspective.
