AmericanCollegewhich is educating under the Pre-Higher Education Group of Schools Education Consortium joined the Space Camp that is the part of international culture, art and science expedition.

Under the presidency of the instructors Samiye Yıldırım and Emine Faruk, primary students of American College joined the Space Camp which lasted 3 days in İzmir.

Students of American College, besides the education of space sciences, astronomy and astronaut educations, they learned theoretical information about space and planets, also by the practical educations they have learned the space walk, like an astronaut.

‘’Why not one of the Turkish Cypriots Become an Astronaut of Future?College authorities stated that every academic year there is a Space Camp to increase the attention of the students to the sciences, to provide them information about the field of space and space technologies. They stated that, it invigorated based on the question of why not one of the Turkish Cypriots becomes one of the astronauts of the future. Students of the American College participated in space training via the interactive training along the camp. They stated that the students got the space technologies education with the use of 10 different space simulators. Also the authorities pointed out that the students got the leader improvement education along the camp. American College which gives education to the opinion leaders, astronauts, and space scientists of the future, yet underlined that they provide important improvement to their students with the international culture, art and science trips.

‘’ First Space Sciences and Astronomy Education Centre of North Cyprus will be Established at GAU’’Furthermore about the topic, Girne American University have reminded that beside of the continuing establishment works of the first Space Sciences and Astronomy Center in Cyprus under the GAU Cyprus- Girne Campus it’s been emphasized that the center will be an important education center in the region by leading the way for scientific studies on the outer world and galaxies and also in the areas of space sciences via the scientific analysis and monitoring periods.

In the afore mentioned explanation it also been stated that GAU Space Sciences and Astronomy center will provide opportunity for the pre-school students and specially for the students educating in the pre-university education institutions under the American College and yet all the students in the country to monitor and examine the space, outer world, astrology, planets and galaxies and also the stellar system therefore making possible for the center to provide support in commencing an education related to aforementioned areas.
