Students from the student exchange program between Girne American University and Kyrgyzstan´s leading university The Bishkek Academy of Finance and Economy ( BAFE )

received their certificates for completing the summer training school.. The ceremony was attended by GAU Secretary- General and University Lecturer Dr. Sualp Davut and held at GAU Girne Campus

The certificates were presented to the Kyrgyz students who completed their training at the School of Management and Tourism by GAU´s CEO and President of the Board of Directors Dr. Asm Vehbi.
´GAU has Built Bridges of Science and Culture Between TRNC and The World.´

In his speech at the ceremony Dr. Asim Vehbi recalled that the academic cooperation between GAU and BAFE was signed in 2004 at a meeting where he, the Founding President, and the President of the Board of Directors Serhat Akpinar were present. He went on to emphasize that a bridge of science and culture has been built between TRNC and Kyrgyzstan which has been continuing for many years and GAU´s similar agreements with over 120 Universities Worldwide has contributed to the recognition of the TRNC, its culture and Higher Education System and Universities.

Vehbi stated that GAU´s 27 years of scientific knowledge has guided higher education in Central Asia opening the door to intercontinental higher education for Kyrgyz students and also added power to the development of students studying at GAU´s international campus´ in England, Singapore and the USA .
´ We are Returning to Our Country as Honorary Ambassadors of the TRNC and Citizens of the World.´

At the end of the ceremony the Kyrgyz students replied to questions asked by GAU TV Current News program and said that they were happy to receive an education at GAU and get to know the TRNC. The students went on to say they will be returning to their country as honorary ambassadors of the TRNC and as citizens of the world with a vision of global education but wanted to continue their education at GAU the following academic year .They also stated that GAU´s experience spanning 27 years has made an important contribution to their university education and career development
