GAU Stage Arts Academy has started to accept student applications for Dance Section with the slogan “Time to Dance”.

According to the statement about the subject from GAU, Stage Arts Academic Units have been granted for equivalence and quota from YÖK and YÖDAK. Also, registrations for 2012-2013 Academic Year Fall Semester have started. GAU has left 27th year behind for Higher Education and during 2009-2010 academic year, art have been served with education. In 2010 Stage Arts Faculty won Best Academy Award in “Success Awards” category. Also in 2011-2012 academic years Stage Arts Faculty got important places in Turkey Dance Championship and International Competitions. At the beginning of academic year, construction of faculty building located at west side of GAU Karmi Campus has been completed. Campus has covered dance studios, technological air-conditioning systems usable in all seasons, special base cover with optic and auditory multi-vision technological infrastructure.

“Worldwide Known Authorities giving Education”

GAU Stage Arts Faculty Dance section staff has worldwide known Turkish and Russian authorities, artists and academicians. In addition to Galip Emre (Turkish Dance Federation Board Member and Creator of Functional Dance Theory), Oleg Manukovich, Liliya Biroğul, Suzan Heıjari-Erkan some artists who had leading role in various opera and ballets organized in Russia and Europe are also in GAU Stage Arts College Dance Academy staff.

“It gives important opportunities to graduate students with their career”

Students who graduated from Stage Arts Education Program in 2 years may continue their career with “Professional Dancer” degree in professional dance schools as Dance Group Member or Soloist, as an Innovative Researcher in Director Artist, Choreograph, Motion Expert, Dance Theories, Dance Researches, Performance Exercises and Dance Critics fields, as an Administrator in Art Organization and Institutions. For students who complete 4 years of dance education may continue their career with “Professional Dance Educator” degree as a Dance and Art Director, Dance Educator in elementary, junior-high and high schools, Dance and Arts Adviser, as an “Innovative Researcher” in Dance Education and Dance Exercises.
