GAU RECTOR ÖZTÜRK, EXPLAINED THE NICOSIA WALK THAT WAS HELD AFTER THE DECISION OF THE HIGH ADMINISTRATIVE COURT

Girne American University (GAU) Rector Prof. Dr. Kutsal Öztürk participated to TV program and he explained that they perform a walking and visiting in Nicosia within the scope of legitimate struggle of GAU continues with “Today for Justice” slogan because concerned university authorities continue to use the expurgatory name against High Administrative Court’s it can’t be used decision.

Öztürk said that, we prepared a factual letter as a 3rd step to our President on behalf of our state, to our Parliamentary Speaker on behalf of parliament and to our prime minister on behalf of the government and we went to Nicosia for presenting the letters. We continue with respect the law. As a GAU global science family, we transferred our right stance to our President, Parliamentary Speaker and Prime Minister with the letters that we prepared once more.

We had an opportunity to talk with our president approximately 1 hour. At the end of our conversation, he said that he is an impartial, and he said that he is a side of the law and he conveyed that he feel uncomfortable about the situation.

We trust in High Administrative Court and in the end, we get ours just rewards. We out for claim our rights because the decision weren’t applied. We want to perform an act as befits the dignity of our university and we realise it step by step. First of all, we transferred all the things to GAU and our community. We indicated that there is a specific lawlessness and we will work for that step by step. We shared the points that we have been wronged with the press. Despite the decisions made, other side continues to behave like they don’t recognize anyone.
