IMPORTANT STATEMENTS WERE MADE BY PRIMEMINISTER KUCUK AND AMBASSADOR AKCA DURING THEIR VISIT.

The Prime Minister Irsen Kucuk and Turkeys Embassador for Nicosia Halil Ibrahim Akca, received information from authorities on their visit to the GAU Karpaz Life Campus Project and Public Relations Office.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees Memduh Erdal, Founding President and Chairman of the Board of Directors Serhat Akpinar, Vice Presidents Olgun Ustel and Cemile Esenyel, Rector Prof. Dr. Yildirim Oner, Head of Health, Culture and Sports Office Turkay Akpinar, and other officials were present at the visit.
“The project enforces recognition and development of the Dipkarpaz area and thus our attention” stated Prime Minister Kucuk.

Prime Minister Kucuk began his speech by expressing his pride in GAU’s international achievements and initiatives. Just recently GAU opened its first Education Building in Istanbul and now the foundations of the Karpaz Life Campus which will assist in the recognition and develop of the area.

He congradulated GAU on their entrepreneurship and added that students from Turkey and 3rd world coutries will make great contributions to the region, whos nature and history are unique. The Prime Minister went on to thank foremost the local ministers, the mayor, authorities and all other supporters of the project.
The Turkish Ambassador Halil Ibrahim Akca stated “GAU is an example to all other universities with its Global Campuses”.

Akpinar pointed out that besides the economic contributions of The Karpaz Life Campus, the region will have support to develop with scientific, social and cultural productions. The Dipkarpaz region will transfer from being a consumer and user of knowlwdge to a producer of and center of attraction internationally.

Akpinar continued by saying that they were proud to carry GAU’s 27 year accumulation of scientific knowledge and experience to Dipkarpaz, and that the GAU academic staff are at the service of the region and locals alike.
