Girne American University (GAU) Special Talent Examination of School of Performing Arts Drama and Acting Department will take place in two stages and the candidate students, who succeed in two stages, will get the registration right.

In the statement regarding the examinations, the followings were announced;

1st Stage: 

The candidates will prepare two tirades one being comedy and the other being a drama / tragedy. A poetry reading and sing a song may also be requested from the candidates. Questions related to the analysis of the character and the chosen work, the author, the time author lived in and the other works of the author may be asked. Improvisation and practicing can be made.

2nd Stage:

It is checked whether they the candidates have a fine ear for music, body coordination and sense of rhythm. A poetry reading and sing a song may be requested from the candidates. Questions for detecting the liberal education and professional formation levels of the candidates are asked. If required, candidates will play a short piece in examination, which will be given on the exam day by the jury.

Other Procedures

The students must be present on examination place at least 1 hour before the exam time. The order for candidates to enter the exam for each stage will be determined by the reference number and the candidates will be notified before the exam.  The candidate students, who succeeded in two stages and gained a right to enroll, will receive the 4 years of academic training in Girne American University Cyprus Campus. The quota is limited to 5 students.

25%, 50%, 75% and 100% scholarship opportunity are given to the students. 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT THE APPLICATION:

• 2015 ÖSYM exam results document and one copy it. (The candidate should have entered to Transition to Higher Education Examination (YGS) the year he/she will apply to the program and at least one of the points needs to be 140 and higher.)
• TRNC citizens can benefit from the scholarship they received from the Scholarship Exam of GAU.
• Original High School Diploma and its photocopy.
• Application form (can be taken from the faculty during the application)
• 4 passport-size photographs (photos should be within the last six months, from front, head and neck open, should easily present the candidate)
• The original of the identity card and its photocopy.
• Application fee: 50 TL

Final application date for the exams, which will be on 16 September Tuesday at 11:00 am in Girne American University, University Street Carmi Campus, School of Performing Arts Building, is 15 September.
