Final Seminar for GAU International Architecture Workshop Project

The “Lambousa Region to be restored and re-designed” entitled International Workshop project after its 11 days of work has come to a close at the final seminar which was held at the GAU Millennium Convention Centre and organized by GAU and the Sapienza University of Rome and  was hosted by the GAU Faculty of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts.

 

In a statement from GAU on the subject, it was stated that the National Council of Research of Italy, Organization of the Roman Architects, Institute of Alcide Cervi, Emilio Sereni Archives and Library, and the Antiquities and variety of Museums in Cyprus will support this international workshop project organized by The University of Florence, University of Belgrade, Aleksandrya University and with the participation of the teaching staff and researchers of the University of Mersin, in addition to GAU and the Sapienza University.

 

At the closing ceremony of the workshop project, the GAU International Centre for Heritage Studies coordinator - Dr. Alessandro Camiz gave a speech about the workshop project period and the Dean of the GAU Architecture, Design and Faculty of Fine Arts Professor Doctor - Hossein Sadri gave information to the participants about the International activities and cooperation of the Faculty of Architecture. After Dr. Sadri, the Deputy Rector Professor Doctor - Sadık Ülker congratulated the Architecture Faculty and the International Centre for the Study of Historical Heritage upon their work for protecting the historical heritage of the country and their work in order for the international events to take place. After his speech The GAU Deputy Rector - Professor Ülker gave the International Workshop project Academic Coordinator - Dr. Alessandro Camiz and the organizing committee plaques of appreciation.

 

Later on in the closing ceremony the participants who had taken part in the project as seven different groups presented to the attendees at the seminar the work that they had revealed during the workshop project. Following the presentations, the participants and the academic staff who had contributed were given appreciation certificates.
