It is with pride that I welcome you to the world of GAU. In these web pages you will find a transparent view of the vision of GAU, what this university is and what it stands for. The most important thing we do is to work with you as you develop your own vision for your personal future, for the future of the region and of the World.

Cyprus is a land with a rich history and pre-history stretching back 11,500 years. We actively seek to incorporate this sense of history and the importance of time into the work of each and every student.

We pride ourselves on a student body of over 5000 foreign students from nearly 80 countries. They provide the rich cultural mix that is so important in a World-class university. All of our local students and our make strong friendships with the foreign students and they are very welcome in our University.

At GAU we follow an open door policy for students. Every student comes to know his or her Dean and Head of Department, as well as their instructors. They see each other on a daily basis. Most of the Deans and administrative staff know the names of every student. This creates a sense of being part of the GAU family. Instructors often stop to talk with students to help sort out schedules or to comment on points from a lecture. There is an excellent counseling service to help with the personal problems that might arise.

Once you have considered all of your options, we know that you will make a decision that is best for you. We know that many of you will make the affirmative decision to attend GAU. You will thank yourself right from the first day and on until graduation.
