How To Apply for a Scholarship

Here at the American University, Girne/Cyprus (Girne American University) we will be offering a range of Scholarship Awards for new international students applying for the 2012 Spring Semester.

If you are interested in applying for a Scholarship Award please fill out the Scholarship Application Form and email it with the other required documents to our team at scholarship@gau.edu.tr . Scholarship applications must be received no later than 1st February 2012.

Please note Scholarship Awards are highly competitive and only a limited number are available.

What Happens Next?

If your documents are in order and you are found eligible to study at the American University, Girne/Cyprus (Girne American University) you will receive a ‘Provisional Acceptance Letter’. In this letter you will be asked to make a non-refundable deposit to the university which will contribute towards your annual fees. The deposit should be paid to:

Once you have paid the deposit please send us a copy of the transfer details so we can trace the payment easily.

When we have confirmed receipt of the payment you will receive an official ‘Acceptance Letter’. This letter is required for you to obtain the necessary visas to travel to and into Northern Cyprus.

Please note that the deposit is generally non-refundable. The sole exception is for the rejection of an application for a transit visa. In such a case the applicant will need to provide written evidence of rejection to receive the refund. A charge to cover such items as the application and registration fees will also be applied.
