Faculty of Communication

Contemporary society has been shaped by the technological innovations. Technological developments have lead to changes within the societies and these consequences altogether emphasised the importance of communication sector. Our faculty has dedicated itself to help to fulfil the necessities of communication sector within the globalising environment by informing and educating young students to work within the environment.

Our faculty is located in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus which is famous with its natural and historical environment.

Faculty of Communication is a young member of GAU. Our faculty consists of three departments;Department of Public Relations, Department of Journalism and Broadcasting and Department of Radio, Television and Cinema

GAU TV, GAU FM, Karmi Press Agency, Vision Newspaper and Media Research and Practice Center provides the chance for our students to gain necessary skills before graduation. Our students also have the chance to conduct interviews, prepare news, take pictures and produce films. The students also receive internship opportunities which are beneficial in receiving employment within the media sector right after their graduation. By being educated by our experienced and talented members of the faculty and sharing their scientific experiences and also by gaining experiences through activities within the departments, and through the internship opportunities, the students receive employment opportunities in various jobs within the media sector.
