Student Applications For GAU Stage School İs Continuing

The Girne American University Stage School Department of Dance has announced that student applications for the department is still being accepted.
GAU has announced that the Stage School which is certified by YOK and YODAK has began to accept student applications for the 2012-2013 academic year fall semester. It was stated that GAU has left 27 years behind in higher education and that the Stage School was granted the Best Academy Award in ‘Awards of Success’ category, and in 2011-2012 academic year, the Stage School also succeeded in the Turkey dance championship and in various international competitions. With the beginning of the new academic year, the construction of the faculty building located at the west of GAU Karmi Campus has been completed. The campus is the first in TRNC with its dance studios, technological air-conditioning systems for all seasons, special base cover with optic and auditory multi-vision tecnological infrastructure.
‘‘Worlwide Known Authorities are Providing Education’’
It was emphasized that the GAU Stage School Dance Department staff consists of worldwide known Turkish and Russian authorities, artists and academicians. Among others, the Turkish Dance Federation Board Member and the creator of the Functional Dance Theory Galip Emre, Oleg Manukovich, Liliya Biroğlu, Sucan Heijari-Erkan together with artists who had leading roles in various opera and ballets organized in Russia and Europe are also giving service at the GAU Stage School Dance Academy.
‘‘Graudates are given significant opportunities’’
Students who complete their 2 year program in the Stage School may continue their career as ‘’Professional Dancers’’ in professional dance schools with the role of a Dance Group Member or Soloist, an innovative researcher in Dance Theories, Dance Research, Performance and Dance criticism. Students who complete the 4 year program may continue their career as ‘Professional Dance Educators’ with the role of a Dance and Arts Director, a dance trainer at primary schools, secondary schools and high schools, Dance and Arts Consultants.
