Canterbury, UK
Discover Canterbury
Canterbury is a thriving, youthful university city with a rich heritage. The city is ideally situated and only a 90 minute journey to London using the excellent train or coach network. In the area around Canterbury are several interesting seaside places such as Whitstable which is famous for its oysters, Dover with the beautiful Dover Castle and Broadstairs, the traditional 18th Century seaside resort where Charles Dickens wrote many of his famous novels.
Canterbury is also home to the famous Canterbury Cathedral that dates back to 597AD. The city has two cinemas and two theatres and comes alive in the evenings with may bars and restaurants within easy walking distance to our university accommodation. Next to the university campus is a bowling ally, gymnasium and nearby there is a swimming pool. On campus we have a café facility and bamboo garden for study and social gatherings.
In short, Canterbury is a place where students can experience the traditional English heritage mixed with a modern youthful culture.
