International Office

Welcome to the International Office of Girne American University!

GAU is a truly global university, continuously expanding its partnerships, programs and campuses abroad. In the spirit of globalization, GAU has no borders and is actively present in a Global Alliance with members covering 3 different continents.

It is the aim of the International Office to promote, support and boost the educational and cultural experiences of all Girne American University students by facilitating studying and traveling abroad. We currently offer opportunities to study in the UK, USA, North Cyprus and Singapore. Our various online programs, study abroad programs, and 2+2 programs enable students to become global-minded and develop into leaders of their communities.

What Are Our Main Activities?

• Create sustainable programs in different fields of study in different continents.
• Inform GAU’s student body as well as academic staff about new international partnerships and academic programs.
• Take steps towards the globalization of students, academic staff and administrative staff.
• Support students to better integrate in their new university setting, by arranging and/or informing about accommodation, transportation, living expenses and general student life.
• Continuously aim to improve existing programs, such as the study-abroad and 2-degree programs.
• Support in processing international agreements and related protocols.
• Represent the university in national and international exhibitions.
