How and Where to find?
....books?
Books can be found both in print and electronic formats. Print books are in the Main Book Collection. The Main Book Collection is located on the open shelves and arranged by subject according to the Dewey Decimal Classification System. Books are shelved in order by classification numbers from 001 to 999. (These books can be checked out). In addition to the Main Book Collection, you can also find books in the Reference and Theses Collections which are located on the first two shelving bays in the Library. (These books are for use in the Library). Reserve Books for limited loan are found at the Circulation Desk. Links to electronic books or e-books are located on the Research Tools-Electronic resources WebPages.
To search for books, use the Catalog Search under Research Tools. You can search by Author, Title, Keyword, Subject, Author, Call number, ISBN number. If you select an Advanced catalog search you can limit your search by publication year or by format (e.g., Monograph./Print vs. Electronic) or publication year. After finding the book you want in the online catalog, you need to note its location and call number. Location gives you information about under which collection you can find the information source (e.g. Main Book collection). The Call number gives the exact location of the information source. It is formed with classification numbers and letters.
