The basis of the department, students will apply the recreation programs with an angle to community, area and grow the personal needs. The aim without any compulsion due to own wish to add recreation games and between free time activities to realize helping management understanding to put forward.

Introduction;

Effective recreation management is an important part of all successful recreation organizations, whether they are at the elite professional or the amateur level. This effective recreation management prepares graduates for organization careers in the leisure and tourism industry. It focuses on the generic skills required to manage, plan and coordinate human, financial and techno-logical resources and the specific expertise required to develop a career across the dynamic and expanding recreation, tourism and leisure sector. Students also gain knowledge in the management of individual recreation and physical activity experiences and in the management of the facilities and resources.

Course Outline:

The Bachelor of Recreation Management at the GAU provides students with a solid appreciation of the fundamental commercial task of the management in a recreation and tourism organization. In addition to provide, business-related units, this degree includes significant content specifically relevant to recreation and leisure.

What you will be studying

You have an ordinary degree completing a four year full-time degree programme.

Year 1: You will study the principles of management and relate them to the recreation and leisure sector. You will gain an understanding of the contemporary recreation and tourism industry as well as the social and cultural significance of recreation, tourism and its increasing impact on the national and global economy.

Year 2: You will study recreation and tourism operations, facility and event management, recreation and tourism marketing and sponsorship. You will examine market research techniques, human resource management, technical and financial management in recreation and tourism organizations.

Year 3: You will study strategic recreation and tourism business planning, the politics of leisure, and current government policies on recreation and tourism.

Year 4: You will study advanced approaches to contemporary critical issues in recreation and tourism management and global issues such as the development of international recreation in tourism, the media and social history of recreation.
