Expert Psychologist Fatoş Bayraktar, Expert Psychologist Çiğdem Çan Aslan, Graduate student of the Psychology Department Özlem Şenel and approximately 40 students from Girne American University (GAU) Faculty of Social Sciences Psychology Department attended the National Psychology Congress that was held for the 16th time in Mersin.

Many universities from Turkey contributed to the Psychology Congress, which was held to give conferences or compose study groups in the framework of the possibilities of universities although it is a national congress.

Scientists and psychologists of different universities delivered presentations at the conference, which laid the ground for sharing scientific studies and experiences of the pragmatic academicals that made studies on psychology.

Instructor of GAU Faculty of Social Sciences Psychology Department Expert Psychologist Fatoş Bayraktar delivered a speech on “the relation between being imposed to peer extortion in puberty and showing symptoms of depression.” Students of GAU followed the congress, in which many issue of psychology were discussed in details.
