The first EDUNIVERSAL World Convention fulfilled its purposes – a political, cultural and educational success on an international scale.
On November 4th & 5th 2008, the First EDUNIVERSAL World Convention took place in La Sorbonne, Paris. On behalf of GAU Chancellor Mr. Serhat Akpinar was present in this event which gathered 250 academic and strategic representatives from the Best business Schools and Faculties of Management in the World. For the 1st time ever in Europe, 120 Schools from 60 countries participated in this one-off event to promote the internationalization of Higher Education and student mobility and to provide the attendees with answers to the challenges related to these issues.
During these two days, several conferences, seminars and workshops were organized and moderated by the most recognized experts from the sphere of Education, notably from the UNESCO, THE Academic Council of the United Nations System (ACUNS), the AIESEC International (the largest student-run association in the world), the CNJE (National Confederation of the Junior Companies), the COCEF (Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in France) or from several Embassies.
On the evening of November 4th, a great gala dinner and the EDUNIVERSAL Award Ceremony were held in Le Palais Brongniart, Paris. This was the occasion to reward the 27 Best Business Schools in the World among the 1,000.
